On May 24, 2019, Professor Franco Ferrari, the Director of the Center, was awarded an honorary ph.d. from the National & Kapodistrian University of Athens in the presence of the President of the Hellenic Republic, Mr. Prokopis Pavlopoulos. The award ceremony took place at the end of a conference on “The Future of Global Law” and was preceded by a talk by President Pavlopoulos. On that occasion, after the laudatio by Professor Haris Pamboukis, Professor Ferrari gave a talk entitled “A New Paradigm for International Uniform Substantive Law Conventions”.
